Can you charge drivers to use them?
Charging drivers for the power
You can charge drivers for each session, or offer it free to staff and guests. Drivers can pay by app, by RFID card, a card or key tag they tap on the charger, by tapping a bank card or by scanning a QR code. Which of these you can offer depends on the charger, and Exploren, the charging software we install, records every session.

What decides the cost
We start with your power supply and choose the charger last.

Business EV charger questions
Questions
01What is the best EV charger for a business?
The one that suits who will use it. Staff parked all day are well served by slower AC chargers, the kind most workplaces use. A fleet needs enough chargers to fill every vehicle overnight. Drivers who stop for half an hour need a DC fast charger. We work out which at the site visit.
02Can a business charge drivers to use its EV chargers?
Yes. Drivers can pay by app, by tapping a bank card or by scanning a QR code. RFID cards, a card or key tag the driver taps on the charger, suit staff and fleet. Which of these you can offer depends on the charger you choose. We set up the billing in Exploren, the charging software we install, as part of the job.
03Will our building need a power upgrade?
Not always. Load management, a controller that shares your existing supply between the chargers, often avoids one. We check what your switchboard can carry before anything is quoted.
04How long does a business EV charger install take?
Usually 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the chargers. Larger DC units sit at the long end because the hardware takes longer to arrive. If your site needs a supply upgrade from Western Power, that adds its own time, which we confirm on the quote.
