How much does a commercial EV charger installation cost in Perth?

There is no honest number until someone has looked at the site. The hardware is a small part of it; the cost is driven by how far the supply is from the bays, whether the switchboard has capacity, and whether the ground has to be opened. We assess all three at the site visit and the proposal is itemised, so you can see what each part is costing you.

Do we need to upgrade our power supply to install EV chargers?

Usually not. Most sites have enough supply if the chargers share it rather than all drawing at once. Load management is almost always cheaper than a service upgrade, and it is the first thing we test for.

How long does a commercial EV charging installation take?

Between two weeks and two months. AC chargers on an existing supply sit at the fast end. Larger DC units carry manufacturer lead times and heavier electrical work, so they sit at the slow end.

Which EV chargers do you install?

Ocular hardware with Exploren software. Both are supported locally in Perth, which matters more than a badge when something needs attention two years in.

Can we bill staff, residents or the public for charging?

Yes. Sessions are authenticated by RFID or app, and every session records the user, the start and finish time and the energy consumed. That supports staff cost recovery, individual resident billing, or tap to pay for public use.

Is commercial EV charging tax deductible?

It may qualify under schemes such as the Instant Asset Write-Off or Temporary Full Expensing, but that depends on your business and the year. Ask your accountant. We will give you an itemised proposal that makes their job straightforward.

What warranty comes with the installation?

Two years on parts and labour, covering both the charger and the installation workmanship. After that you can take a service level agreement: Bronze for standard support, Silver for priority response, or Gold for guaranteed response times written into the agreement.

Do you work outside the Perth metro?

Yes. We cover Perth metro and regional Western Australia. For a regional site we will tell you honestly at the enquiry stage whether the travel makes the job worth doing.

Can we start small and add chargers later?

That is the sensible way to do it, and it is why the design matters more than the hardware. If the backbone is sized for where the site is heading, adding bays later is an addition rather than a second civil job.

Are you licensed to do the electrical work?

Yes. We are a licensed electrical contractor, EC11686, and a Certificate of Electrical Safety is issued on completion.
